Algorithmic Bias

Model Registry and Version Control

A model registry tracks every deployed model version, its configuration, and its usage. Version control allows you to rollback faulty models immediately. Without it, recovery from operational failures becomes slower, riskier, and less auditable.

Risk Assessment and Documentation

Every AI deployment should be preceded by a risk assessment. This includes operational, ethical, security, and regulatory considerations. Documentation of these assessments provides evidence for internal audits and regulatory reviews.

Governance in Practice

If you cannot explain these terms and show how they are applied, you are not ready to deploy AI. Governance is not optional; it is embedded into every stage, from data preparation to monitoring live models.

You should be able to answer questions such as:

  • How is bias measured and mitigated?
  • What processes exist for monitoring drift and errors?
  • Which outputs require human review?
  • How do you ensure transparency and explainability for stakeholders?
  • How are sensitive data and privacy maintained?
  • Who is accountable for decisions made by AI?

If these questions do not have clear, documented answers, AI deployment becomes a risk management problem, not a technology initiative.

Governance begins with shared definitions. Without them, policies remain abstract, controls break under pressure, and accountability becomes unclear.
